Virtual Reality and Standardized Testing

Standardized Testing happens every year in many public or private schools. Scores over the past few years have seen marginal increases across most tested groups. Most school district and institutions are trying to increase student achievement, graduation rates and career ready options. Virtual Reality serves as a platform to provide meaningful experiences and background knowledge, to a generation of students who are less likely to read and comprehend familiar or non-familiar content. Virtual Reality could be the catalyst that allows students to read more and conduct meaningful research independently. As more schools and school districts adopt Virtual Reality, they could utilize this new platform to motivate and engage students. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are made more relevant, when students have a foundation of knowledge and understanding. When a student has more varied experiences, knowledges, vocabulary and understanding they usually score higher than their counterparts.
